iGSat is a Broadband Satellite Internet Service, delivered via the SES-9 High Power Satellite.  Launched on March 5, 2016, SES-9 will be positioned at the orbital slot of 108.2 deg East and provide incremental as well as replacement capacity to the well established slot over Asia, where it will be co-locate with existing satellites.  The satellite will expand SES's capability to provide DTH Broadcasting and other communications services in Northeast Asia, South Asia & Indonesia, as well as maritime communications for vessels in the Indian Ocean.

Frequently Ask Questions

Is there a minimum no. of months I should subscribe, lock-in period?

The subscription plan provides for a minimum subscription period of six (6) months starting from the date the Service is activated. 

 

Can I change subscription plan during my lock-in period?

Change in plan subscription are not allowed within six (6) months from the date of account activation.

What will happen if I exceeded my monthly data volume allowance?  

The service will be automatically downgraded to the lowest available package once the subscriber has consumed the monthly data allowance.

 

Is modem provided wifi ready?

The supplied modem requires separate wi-fi router (additional device).

How will I monitor my data usage?

The Subscriber shall receive notifications by SMS or by email advising of the Service consumption, when the subscription has been consumed at ​50%, 75% ​and at ​90% of the data allocated.  

What will happen if I exceeded my allotted data?

Any usage that exceeds the allocated data shall be charged an additional fee of​ P0.50​ per MByte or P500 per GByte.

 

How and when I will receive my billing statement?

The billing cycle corresponds to the calendar month. A bill will be sent out to the Subscriber at the end of each billing period by email. 

What will happen if I where not able to pay in due time?

The Subscriber will be given five (5) days from the receipt of the billing statement to pay the amount due. Payments may be made in any iGSat dealers or at the bank account shown in the billing statement. Failure to provide proof of payment by the due date shall cause the Service to be suspended or temporarily or permanently disconnected without prior notice. 

 

What is the warranty coverage?

The equipment supplied to the Subscriber shall be covered by a warranty for six (6) months from the date of installation. This warranty shall cover replacement of parts and labor to restore the equipment in good working order, but shall not cover damages or defects caused by mishandling and natural calamities.  A fee shall be charged for every repairs and replacements required beyond the warranty period. 

 

Can we move the equipment anywhere in the Philippines?

Yes, but with prior consent to IGSat.  Unauthorized transfer that may later come to the knowledge of iGSat shall be sufficient reason to disconnect the Service. 

What happen if the equipment are damage/loss due to theft and/or calamities?  

iGSat shall not be liable for any loss or damages to the equipment for whatever reason.
